Music Video - Go On
I Directed, DPed, Cam/op, and edited this music video. I also devised the multiple story line concepts and co-produced the video. This was made with my own camera (SD back then!), grip and lighting equipment.

This was a special experience. The song "Go On"was written as an uplifting and powerful song to combat feelings of hopelessness post 9/11. The artist came to me a number of years later and requested a music video. To make the message more universal, I moved away from the 9/11 undertones and worked on multiple story lines - each with characters who in their own way needed to find a way to "go on". I lit each character/location their own color scheme.
I, along with the artist and another producer, thought it would be great if we could mine the country for photos depicting real peoples' struggles. We cast a wide net on craigslist and asked for submissions. My email flooded with glorious stories of triumph from all walks of life. I was only able to include a small fraction of the submissions in the final video - but I did make an extended cut which includes a full credit sequence where I was able to put in a few more photos.
